Wishing you all a Wonderful Wednesday! I also want to thank everyone for just being you! Ok...today we have a little Valentine's Day Project...it is simply an inspirational tutorial...an idea that you can take to all new levels...use all different kinds of papers...punches...ribbons...embellishments and MORE. I hope you have fun with it an create your own gift from the heart!!!
A Little Piece of My Heart...
a sweet little gift tag with heart magnets...a perfect sweet gift for anyone in your life
your favorite card stock (2 sided is fabulous...works perfectly) but any pretty card stock will work....paper doily...embellishments...lace...wooden heart...ribbon...assorted punches...glue and magnets...and whatever you would like!
a little bit of this....
a few of these....
any size or shape hearts or circles or square or...any little snippets of any of your lace...you don't need much and a great way to use what use to go in the trash!
Now simply take your card stock and cut it to the size you would like...for this project I am partial to the rectangle...then punch your circles...one for the large center and then the second size...if you don't have a punch a good ole fashion pair or scissors if perfect!
It is time to punch and decorate the bottom of your tags...simply punch and viola! If you don't have a punch that does this...maybe you have a pair of decorative scissors that you can create a beautiful edge...a scalloped hand cut is perfect too!
Then it is time to punch the top corners...I used a corner punch but once again you can simply scallop the sides or leave them just the way they are...it is all good!
All you have to do now is fold your circles in half...a nice clean and neat fold!
Place a ribbon hole at the top center for your ribbon or you just might not want to add the ribbon...it is all up to you!
Now it is time to assemble...glue the first circle to the doily...then layer and glue the second piece onto the first circle and then glue the completed piece and sandwich the tag...this little pretty looks fabulous front and back! You can glue them all together and then fold if you like but i find that the fold is cleaner doing it individually. Now you tag is complete...let's add a little gift!
No step by step is needed for this one...you simply paint your little hearts or you might want to decoupage them or even cover them in complimentary paper...once again...your choice and it will be fabulous! I painted mine in lighter shades of the tag and then sanded the edges for a distressed look. Then you take a little snippet of lace...any lace or you could use your favorite fabric and I cut it in a larger triangle...place glue on the sides and wrap...then when dry I trim the back...There is no wrong way to do it and the back is not seen because now you add a magnet! Attach to the tag and this makes a great gift for anyone in your life!
Another great gift idea is add a pinback to make the sweetest little brooch...attach to the tag and there you have it...something that everyone would love...no matter the age!
Here's a little sample of another color combination...you see...the sky is the limit!
place wherever you think it looks the sweetest...
So bottom line...you can create the perfect little something with items that are right in your crafting bag of tricks! These make a perfect gift not only for Valentines Day but ANY DAY!!!! Magnets...Pushpins...Pins...so many choices...so many possibilities...one thing for sure you will have fun and your end result will be WONDERFUL! This I am sure of!
Hope you enjoy!
I will see you all tomorrow for
Thankful Thursday!!!
