Vintage and Thrifty Finds by Junkin Joe

Morning to everyone.  Hope you are all having a good one.  It is raining and sleeting here in NJ which is basically the only hint that it is actually winter... and they say there is no global warming!

Well it is time once again to share some interesting finds with you...I ran out of sunlight so next week I promise I will have some before and afters for you : )  For now...I bring you yet another visual episode of:

The Adventures of Junkin Joe
and his vintage and thrifty finds...

Well...I really don't know how he always seems to nab something pink...but he does...check this vintage beauty out...gorgeous pink stripes...a gorgeous basket of roses...

she shows a little bit of her age but all and all this fine lady is looking so good she would probably get proofed....

with her scalloped edging...gold trimming and simply delightful smile...I do believe she is home now :) I have requested that Joe look for an addition to our house while he is doing his errands!

Well the roses did not stop there...

Another vintage rose made her grand debut from the dusty and tattered box...

I have a feeling that this pretty is home too!

Who is this little pretty with her tiny pink roses...

and beautiful gold trim and sparkling gold accents...

I do believe this little beauty will be serving some yummy creamy mushroom gravy at our table!

 The roses simply kept coming...

her hand painted beauty tells many stories...I love to imagine where she has been and what scrumptious and delicate confections she has served!

Then this dazzler popped out of the box...

she paraded her glitz all over the place...

after a bit of gentle soap and water...she was a real show girl!

Well...well...well...a bit of many sailed in...

They stand tall holding some vintage pages...cool find!

Well all of a sudden I felt as though I was transported to a parlor...one with velvet pillows and gold pom pom trim...(not that there is anything wrong with that)

an pearly pool of blue...

very funky vintage kitschy don't you think!

Who said flowers always had to be pink...

close-up please...

a little poppy pizzaz!!!

hmm...

check out this vintage lady in red...

well she has some company...

together I think they will be Shakin it Up a bit!!!

Well that's it for this weeks finds...I have to tell you I don't know how he is finding these things...I came up empty when I use to try...I am still convinced that he simply enjoys playing to his audience so I am going with it! : )

  4. Joe, Joe, Joe, how do you outdo yourself every single week??? Love those rose pieces, as in "if they come up missin' you might wanna check my place first." :) Wanted to be sure your lovely bride told you how in love I am with my gorgeous cup and saucer, and in fact if I can get the camera batteries working, I'm going to be posting about it today - can't wait! See you next week ~ Mary
