Down the Rabbit Hole round up!

Good morning all and WELCOME to the weekend!  On Saturday's we take a trip down the rabbit hole...weaving throughout the blogosphere...checking out what's happening...what's new...what's fun and more!  Today we are taking a free fall...no theme...no rhyme or reason...just a search for cool things!  Hopefully we will stumble on a blog that we have never encountered!  Hope you enjoy the fall.

One little note...if you read my post yesterday you already know that I am having some "internal" problems with my blog...my feed seems to be way out of whack and some more other stuff...trying to make some rhyme and reason from the info but no luck yet : ( I don't speak "computer error" language especially when it goes on for pages upon pages...hopefully we will get this fixed...if not...I just might have to start a new blog and transfer...I will keep you posted and THANK YOU for your support...you are THE BEST!!!

To tell you the truth...I wanted to create one of these and was going to cut pieces from thin bass wood...but then I caught a glimpse of this
diy necklace from
By Wilma
and it was so simple and such a brilliant element is used to create it...I just thought I would share this one with you!  Oh the possibilities!
Come on...coffee stirrers!  That is BRILLIANT!

You can create it in different colors...shade increments...add

Vintage Finds by Junkin Joe!

Hi everyone...it's Friday and time for another episode of
Junkin Joe!  Guess what...next week we are going to have our first JJ Linky Party!  We will be celebrating vintage and thrifty finds and all things created with them also!  Once a month on the first Friday we can look forward to showing off our cool stuff!   Hope all of you come and join in!
Now one thing I need to say...I was feeling really down yesterday...why?  I have watched my stats go down for a little bit now...and I know they don't mean everything but they do help us know if we are approaching our blogs from the right angle : )  Well after giving myself a little pity party...I started to put some things together...many people have said that I have not been coming up in their feeds...then I got a message from a wonderful reader saying that she thought I was on hiatus...hmmmmmm...annoying...yes...but maybe just maybe this is the source of the lower numbers and I am looking into in depth now.  So I ask any of you that have had a problem with The Cottage Market getting through...just shot me off an email!  I will get to the bottom of this soon!  But I feel a little bit better that there is a problem -- isn't that funny!
Well you are here for the finds so let's get to them...JJ decided to play "PICKER" this week!  Yep...kind of Mike and Frank style...so even though it pains me to say this...NO PINK!!! Thought he would go some place new and try to find something out of the ordinary with a budget of $20...see what you think!
There is one piece of elegance though!
One more note (I am sorry for being so wordy today) I am showing you all of the items in the condition they were bought...I had some friends ask if they could see the pieces as is and today's the day!

Sunshine Digital Image for you and Celebrating a new Shop

Wishing you all a wonderful day!
I have to be honest...I have a little pit in my stomach this morning...why?  I am going to be totally upfront with all my friends here... I am going to christen the re-opening of one of my shops on etsy and show you my other ones.  I have never done this but today is the day!  Of course if you make it to the bottom of the post...there will be a little graphic there that you can snatch up for your files : )

A long time ago I had a shop on Ebay (not a typo...Ebay) and it was good...really good...but as you all know...life happens and things change...long story short...I took to the Etsy path.  I have been experimenting on Etsy now for 5 years...trying to find my place...one thing I learned is that I like to do a lot of different things so I have not been able to nail myself to one...hence so many shops! However this shop I am reopening has a direction and focus...on mosaics...it was opened for a little bit of time on Etsy but then I had another bump in the road...emergency brain surgery...it's funny how that messes things up...but all is good up there now (even though some would argue that : ) so I thought it was time to re-open!  I just opened it up yesterday with a new look created by my dear friend Keren from
she does such amazing creations and I love the new look she gave this shop!  So I present...

25 Awesome Dog Treats and more

Monday Morning...Rise and Shine and here's wishing you a wonderful week!

On Monday's we usually share a meatless recipe here at The Cottage Market but today is going to be a little bit different...since the 25 doggie bed post was so well read...I thought (Pops and Basil actually thought) that it would be a great idea to share some scrumptious doggie treat recipes so all of you out there can pamper your pooches just a little bit more.  I will say that there is nothing better than knowing exactly what your doggie is eating...it's a feeling of peace and when they gobble it up...smiles a plenty.

So let's get those tails a waggin and try one of these
scrumptious snacks...

Small Room Decorating A trip down the rabbit hole with a Paris ending!

Happy Saturday to all!

As you all know who stop in here throughout the week...on Saturday's I usually go on a random search and see what I can find out there in the blogosphere...well today will be no different but for some reason I am thinking "small" small spaces that is...how to make the best use of them and how to just brighten up a little nook or cranny in the home with a special little touch...I do believe this  will be ongoing venture but let's see what we find today...hope you enjoy the little round-up...not sure what I will find...but let's see...

Let's begin...

Better Homes and Gardens really has a great little section on

Here is my favorite from the section...  you can hop on over there later to see all the others...it's fun!

Take this small space...it holds so much and serves so many purposes all in a tiny area.  A desk...room to work...shelves that

Fabric Tape DIY

A very good morning to you all!

You know when you have a TON of something you are not too sure what you are going to do with it all?  Well Joe (aka...husband) recently brought home a large amount of rolls of adhesive from an artist friend of his.  Great stuff and I am using it a lot for different projects. Then it dawned on me it would be perfect for fabric tape...so that is how this little DIY came about...of course not everyone has this adhesive but simple double face tape works perfects!  Talk about EZ PZ!!!!  So I decided if the final product looked nice...I would use it as a little Etsy give away in my packages...I think I am going to do just that...what do you think?

Let's start with the supplies...

Take my Hand and Warm you Heart

Hi everyone!  How are you guys doing today...hoping that you are great...I just heard that NJ is reaching 100 degrees on Thursday so I am turning up the AC now in anticipation : )

Well I have to say yesterday was one of those days...you know the kind...when Murphy's Law comes to fruition...I see you shaking your head...you know exactly what I speak of!  So I admit I was not ready with a blog post this morning...didn't even have a clue!  Then for some reason I thought of the "little things" and the first thing that came to mind was holding hands...for some reason when someone that you love...takes your hand everything seems a  bit better...safer...a feeling of comfort just takes over...so I hope this little picture post brings you a smile...a chuckle at times but most of all a warm heart...

A Simple Blondie

Hi there everyone...wishing you all a fabulous start on the new week!
I have a very simple recipe for you today...One that we had on the table yesterday for
Father's Day...my daughter Heather made them because her Dad is a chocolate chip LOVER and they were delicious...sometimes simple is better and in this case it is so true!
These were adapted from the wonderful
The recipe was followed to the T except she went for the maximum of a full cup plus of chocolate chips! It fits our families tastes perfectly!  It pains me to say that these were way better than the "original" recipe that so many of us have followed during our life times...I think the secret is the melted butter mixed with the brown sugar!  That is why I wanted to share this with you.  I usually put up an original recipe but this little one could really become a basic in your baking needs file!  Perfect for anything at all...especially hungry little kids that are just looking for the perfect treat and of course BIG KIDS of ALL ages : )

If you are looking for a delicious...yummy...EZ PZ dessert...this is it!!!! Ooooooey....Goooey and YUMMY!!!! Can't go wrong with the three Y's!!!

Fathers Day Tie Bunting Printable and Tutorial

A very good morning to you!  We are decked out in blue today to compliment our Father's Day Project!  I hope you find it fun and sure hope you and the kids decide to make a
Father's Day Bunting
for the special man in your lives!
I have seen many projects out there so we put our own spin on a little creation that is tons of fun...now I have to give credit where credit is due...my son Peter created my idea for me..I think you can consider me digitally impaired...he did a wonderful job...just what I had in mind...gotta love it : )  What is cool about this design is that the ties are double sided so it is so easy to make your bunting and it it looks great front and back!  If you choose to use the #1 Dad selection...the lettering is in reverse so it reads from the either side!  You can also use these for cupcake toppers by simply cutting them out...folding and gluing them onto a toothpick...put these cuties in a folder...you can use them all year round...great for decorating packages also!  So here you go...two sheets of ties...the first being 6 different complimentary patterns and the second being #1 Dad...you can make the bunting as larger or as small as you need it...take a peek below for the example I made for you....

Meatless Monday and Scallion Pancakes

Well Monday has come around once again and I wish everyone a fabulous start of the new week!

Today's post was inspired by Alex Guarnaschelli a wonderful chef from the Food Network.  As I told you I am a bit of an addict and always have either the food Network on in the background...Create or listening to NPR...so when my ear catches a good recipe...I pick up and go check it out.  Well when I hear Scallion and Ginger Pancakes...I flew up to watch!  These are a little different from the take out kind but they are FABULOUS and guess what...soooo easy!  I have made the kind that you get from your favorite Chinese restaurant but I have to tell you...I really really enjoyed these...dare I say a little bit more!  I tweaked the recipe a bit but that is something I always seem to do...check it out and I will include the original recipe link also!

Sally Campbells she is from Australia
