  2. fun stuff! I have an old wooden ladder that I bought at a barn sale. way too long to use inside. so I had my husband cut about 4 feet off and I use the shorter end in my craftroom hanging flat against the wall for displaying stuff. Then I use the long end to display quilts on in my bedroom. loved seeing all the ideas your found!
    as always, thanks for sharing!

  9. Andrea, I’ve bookmarked this post to enjoy later. I love so many of these! :D My two favorites are the ones with the typewriter and the one with the enameled pitchers. :D

  10. The best places to find these types of ladders are not car boots but skips and waste dumps! Just remember that it is in fact illegal to remove anything from a skip (yeah I know it sounds stupid but it is a fact!) so always get permission to remove them from the skip OWNER (not the person who hired it) before you take anything.

    Andrea,
Hi! I’m a new follower. Love your blog.

  16. These are great ideas. I needed a little side table beside my recliner, so my daughter went into the basement and found a little wooden stepladder that belonged to my dad, who is now deceased. It made a great side table and has a special meaning, too. I have another 5ft. wooden stepladder, that also belonged to my dad and I’m so excited to try out some of these ideas. Thank you

  1. […] If you happen to see an old chippy ladder against the wall in a thrift shop…or maybe at local garage sale…don’t dismiss it…snatch it up…there are 101 uses for it and here is a little bit of inspiration…how great would this be in the bathroom with an array of towels…you could even hook on a basket to hold other goodies. You are probably thinking of all the other things you could do and I am sure they are all fabulous.  If you want some more ideas…check here. […]
