Does everyone agree that wall art can completely change the look and feel of the room It can add tons of personality. Here is a great idea for easy wall art and perfect for all of you that art Flea Market Thrifters. Do you have a frame and an old kitchen too…a sifter…spoons, pasta spoon, egg beater and the list goes on? If you do…hit that frame with your favorite color…hang it on the wall and then hang your kitchen tool in the center….instant wall art that will look amazing and I am sure all those relatives that have not been in your kitchen since last year will have something to say…like WOW!!! Group them together…make a collage…whatever you are feeling and whatever you think your family will enjoy. Drop by Shelterness and get the DIY! I know that the ideas are spinning around in my mind!
Do you have plates…new plates…old plates…vintage china…platters…red ones…blue ones…pink ones…yellow ones…patterned ones…cottage chic ones…Asian style…Old World style…formal…casual…and everything in between???? If you do you have instant wall art waiting for you to create with. Arrange your selected plates and place them on a large table top…floor or any large enough flat surface and play with the plates until you obtain the pattern and design you are looking for. If you don’t have the plates that you are looking for…have a little visit to a local Flea Market or drop by the Good Will or Salvation Army…you never know what vintage treasures you are going to find on the cheap!  It is a great way to add some incredible personality to your kitchen or any room for that matter! These plates here from BHG just pop off the wall and dazzle you…LOVE IT! Just stock up on plate hangers…they make your life so less painless!
How about this outstanding display of color…design…pops and pizzaz!
Have you given any thought to making one entire wall in the kitchen a chalkboard wall? It sure does look amazing and if you have an industrial look going on with your home decor…the rich and stark black wall can make all of those mental items POP! Look at how incredible this one looks…now that is a shopping list you can read! ; ) All you need is some painters tape…a brush…a roller and a tray with chalkboard paint in it and you know the rest! This quick and east look will not go unnoticed! I love this entire space…it’s interesting and I love the use of the copper lamps…brushed steel chairs…wood and black metal! It all works so perfectly together. I found this fabulous picture over at one of my favorite places…79 ideas!
Now here is a great idea…especially if you adore the Cottage Chic…Farmhouse Style. Over at town and Country Living you will find an amazing kitchen with an array of ideas on how to add a bit of freshness to your own space. One of the ways that I simply adore is adding some bead board to the walls and then a nice big shelf with hooks. It becomes a kitchen mantel of sorts and a great place to display more of your wares…if this doesn’t look FRESH I don’t know what does and that little touch of fresh blooms brings it all together in perfect cottage chic farmhouse style!!!
would you like an even better view of how fresh this space looks…this will give you more inspiration than you can imagine! Can you say FABULOUS!!!
When you visit the kitchen of Jennifer Rizzo…you will get tons and tons of inspiration. Trust me…you will fall in love and want to do everything she has done…but just this area for example…just by adding a towel rack to the front panel of the sink and treating it to a new and fabulous towel…you add tons of POP and Design POWER for a tiny investment of time and money. I think this is quick and easy for sure!
Well this maybe a prop outside for a wedding but I am sure you can imagine a stack of vintage suitcases in a cottage kitchen corner where you can store all kinds of goodies that you do not use every day. Then imagine a stack of fabulous cookbooks and some vintage kitchen accessories on the top along with a fresh bouquet of flowers…perfection! Oh and these wold look great with a Mini Kitchen Tree on top for the holidays. The possibilities are endless…but whatever you do with a set of beauties like this is going to be amazing.
Here’s a great idea…it’s a tiny change but just might be the one that makes you smile and adds a little pop to the kitchen…Paint your kitchen island or cart or hutch a new color…it is inexpensive and packs a big decorative punch! Look at this aqua beauty over at apartment therapy…it looks fabulous doesn’t it…just what this white kitchen needs. Then with the smattering of yell0w it really soars! So pick out that favorite color that you have been dying to use and give it a try with an accent piece…I have a feeling you are going to love the way it looks.
I LOVE this fun idea This curtain shade with a great graphic is sure to wake up your kitchen! Change up the color you were using last year and maybe purchase a few little accessories or in this case you can use a bowl full of lemons for a pop of yellow! That one simple curtain can change the atmosphere of the whole kitchen and give it that little something special you were looking for. Hoe over to BHG for the DIY!
Why not add some storage baskets above your cabinets if you don’t have a Soffit! They look spectacular with their adorable chalkboard tags and wow…they give you tons of storage. How about adding a new rug or maybe even a pot rack? Quick and Easy Tips and just won’t break the bank and are finished in a SNAP! Drop by Decor pad and enjoy your visit.
Do you have the guts to give your fridge a brand new look! Ashely over at The Hand Made Home sure did! She gave her old fridge a completely NEW DO by painting it with chalkboard paint. Now it looks fabulous and it is a very handy place for notes to the whole family. She shares the entire diy to make this a less scary venture for you…you can do it and Ashely will show you how : ) Quick! Another Quick and Easy Decorating Tip is just add a row of mason jars! Maybe for the Holiday Season a row of mason jar snow globes with Christmas Trees in them. How fabulous would that look. It is amazing something so easy can look incredibly awesome…don’t you think!
How about adding some throw pillows to a space like a bench…chair or window seat! You can add color…design or use a solid…they will look amazing and take no time at all. Hey…you might want to add a stool or stools to the mix also.
